Poem #1

PREFACE

This poem was written a long time ago for the Pearl Jam fan club message board before message boards and websites became insanely popular.  It was true then and it is true now.  It was never published until 2012.

CLARIFICATION 

My favorite Nirvana CD is Unplugged. Alternative radio stations across the USA killed Nirvana. It saddens me that his gift was ruined by the people he made it for. I'm guilty. Your guilty. However, Nirvana Unplugged was a transcending concert, CD and TV event. 

Pearl Jam seized the moment.  They are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet, but I'm sure they'll be in Cleveland one day.

A POEM FOR THE BOARD

Kurt Cobain is dead

Eddie Vedder is alive

Nirvana still lives

Pearl Jam still breathes

Cobain wanted to die

Vedder wanted to live

Cobain never thought

Vedder always thinks

Nirvana were the Royal Kings

Pearl Jam were the Charming Prince

Nirvana was overplayed

Pearl Jam was underplayed

Nevermind was one of the best

Ten was one of the greatest

Nirvana is like The Doors

Pearl Jam is like The Who
